Well, I have had a USB 2.0 drive enclosure case for a while. I finally felt like using it more and more. It is holding up under a lot of work so it seems stable. I have a 30Gig drive in it and it is detected fine under Windows and Linux. On another note, my laptop does not have a burner and I cannot find good PCMCIA DOS drivers so I could use the network to backup an image of the laptop hard drive. So I started researching the only option left to me. I looked for Mass Storage USB DOS drivers. My laptop has one USB port. So, when I got it running Windows 98SE all good to go, I imaged it. Windows 98SE happened to come with the laptop. I then wiped it out and put Windows XP Professional on it. Got it all up to date and then did the same. Now, if I want to play with Linux or Unix on my laptop I should be able to wipe the drive and use the image to get back to Windows if need be. W00t!
